L'Aurore et la Nuit
"Dawn and Night", Henri Fantin-Latour.
This is the reference I used.

This is one of the first oil paintings I've ever done. I painted this when I was taking OAC advanced art in high school. It would be like Grade 13. (Ontario Academic Credit ~ entry-university classes.) I decided to use a reference from French Realist painter, Henri Fantin-Latour.
This is my version... I painted this... to see if I could... (& to practice techniques with oil paint.) I used sponges for the clouds. This is a stretched canvas approx. 12" x 16".
